Singapore Zoo Night Safari
Hey guys!
It's been a busy couple of days, and last night when I was finally going to sit down with some blog posts I found that my internet connection wasn't working. Luckily there are plenty of places around this buzzing university campus where one can find wi-fi.
We went to the Singapore Zoo Night Safari, I think it was the night of orientation day, on the 4th. Elin and I were running around campus trying to find a photo booth to take photos required for the final formalities with our visas. She went to ask for directions and I was standing alone when someone approached me.
"Are you an exchange student?"
"Eh, yes", I answered carefully.
"You seem lost and I'm lost too, nice to meet you!".
And that's how we met Kent from the US who invited us to come to the Night Safari with him and his friends! I didn't tell him that I always look lost... but it's nice that my confusion could contribute to something.

I didn't get many good photos since flash photography is prohibited. The Night Safari is basically filled with lots of nocturnal animals and we got to see some pretty cool ones and wonder around the park at night. There is lots and lots and lots of different trails and activities, we probably didn't even see half of it! I'm not a big fan of zoos actually, but this time it felt like a good opportunity to get out and get to know people.
More to come soon! / Julia
