Application update #2 - Acceptance and vaccinations

Hey guys!
I'm super excited about this post because things are moving so faaaast with the Singapore preparations. Last time I update you I had just sent my application to Nanyang Technological University. And guess what? Yesterday I finally got an acceptance e-mail! It's official - I'm going to study at NTU! It's been almost a year of preparing documents and applying and waiting so it's really really good to finally have that confirmed.
A couple of weeks ago I scheduled an appointment to get vaccinations. We don't want to get sick out there, do we? Of course not, so today I went to the hospital to get a few shots (!!!). Hepatitis A and B, plus something else that I don't really remember... I got to speak to a doctor, we talked over my travel plans and what I could possibly be at risk for. Basically I agreed with what he recommended and for now I'm set! The doctor informed me that depending on if and where I will be travelling after the exchange semester I might need more vaccinations and different meds (malaria for example), so we set up a "back up-plan" for that. I guess the next step is to map out in detail where I want to travel and what I need there! The most important vaccinations are in order though, which makes me feel a lot calmer.
So, what's next now that the formal acceptance and vaccinations can be ticked of the list? Well, in my head it looks something like this.
  • Applying for accomodation
  • Applying for a visa
  • Booking flights
A lot is going to happen over the next two months so make sure to check in here every once in a while.
Peace!
