China Town
Since both Elin and I have Fridays off we decided to check out China Town and Little India! I thought I would make separate posts about the neighbourhoods and share some pictures and observations. Let's start with China Town! In short;
- Roosters and horoscopes for the coming year were everyhere!
- Dumplings are great food, but hard to eat with chopsticks.
- This is where we found the best ice coffee yet!
- People stare. A lot! I mean, being an obviously lost foreigner you are pretty used to people staring at you but in China Town it seemed to happen even more. Even when we were just sitting or walking or whatever, the looks from some (mostly older) people had us feeling like we had spiders on our faces or something... strange.

The Lunar New Year celebrations are fast approaching and everything is decorated in honour of the upcoming year of the rooster!

I can't wait to start learning Chinese! Or at least try.

These fruits are called durians and they have a very... strong and special smell. You're not even allowed to take them on the train because of that! I still haven't tried it yet but I'm sure the durian tastes way better than it smells since it's so popular.

Green city indeed.
That's all for China Town! Make sure you check out the post on Little India too.
