Laundry day

Okay so, there is ONE downside with packing as lightly as I did - you quickly run out of clean clothes to wear! I'm eternally grateful for how easy it was for me to log my backpack around while travelling here, but having 9 t-shirts and 4 pair of pants/shorts (some of which are still too warm to wear here) proved a little challenging for someone who likes to change outfits twice a day...

So, to no surprise Elin and I had to do laundry the other day. There are these small but convenient laundry machines in the halls of residence, on a pay-per-use basis. Just toss your clothes and some detergent in the machine, put a 1 dollar-coin in the slot and you're good to go! Half an hour later we finally had contents for our wardrobes again.

Maybe not the most glamorous thing we've done in Singapore, but very important nontheless.

Let me introduce the Hall 7 hall cat! He/she usually greets me when I come home and I must admit that makes me childishly happy.

Who needs a dryer when there is so much room to hang stuff? Very convenient, except that some underwear was missing the next day...?! Not sure at all how to feel about that.

Til next time! / Julia.
