New Years Eve @ Marina Bay
Hello there! A couple of days late, but I thought I would show you what we did on New Years Eve! We didn't really make any plans beforehand, which some found weird. We hoped to meet people at our hostel and join whatever they were planning, and we did!
We joined three German guys and headed down to Marina Bay to watch the countdown and the fireworks. A LOT of people decided to do the same thing and it was hands down the most crowded place I've ever been. It was such a cool experience though, and I can't think of a better way to ring in 2017.
Side note: Alicia Keys was performing there?! We could only see the audience from where we were standing and they were SO excited... We didn't know what they were watching at first but after hearing two Keys songs in a row I asked the others if they thought it was a recording. When the third song came on we figured it must have been an actual concert, and after doing some research we found out that she was indeed performing at Marina Bay.
