Monday inspo

Thank you for the response you gave my last post! I was really inspired and motivated by your comments and thoughts on it, and I'm thinking about sketching out some more lists in the future.

I had trouble sleeping last night, and as a result I was feeling super-sluggish after my Creative Writing class this morning. "Oh well", I thought, "time to head home and be productive before Chinese class! I have time to work on some assignments". What I ended up doing? Taking a two hour-nap of course! It was only supposed to be 30 minutes, I swear I don't know what happened... Here are some bitmoji-illustrations that I think sum it up pretty well.

Here's an illustration of me, coping well with the workload four weeks before the end of the semester.

And here I am, deliberately unproductive and snug in my bed. Self-care is key you guys!

I also want to share something beautiful that my teacher said in class this morning. It was the spark I needed to wrap up this blog post! I think it's worth sharing because it could be valuable not just when it comes to poetry, but other areas in life as well. Some days (I'm looking at you, monday March 20th) seem insignificant and dull and boring, but we have to try to find our own ways to extract meaning and beauty from them.

Although it's afternoon here, some of you will read this in the early hours of the morning before jetting off to school or work. I put these words there especially for you. Some "monday inspo"!

Til next time! / Julia.
