Touring Melbourne
My time in Australia would not have been complete without a visit to Melbourne! I must say I really enjoyed my week in the area. Not just because the city has a very cool vibe to it, but because I was able to spend time with lovely people. My aussie friends Julia and Alex opened up their homes for me, planned activities and introduced me to their friends. I also got to see my Swedish peeps Mikaela and Mattias.
I learned that Melbourne has outstanding food and cafés, lots of street art and that Australian football (or "footy") is a really big deal. It's a strange sport with a lot of confusing rules, but still very entertaining. I watched a televised game with Julia's dad, and Alex even took me to an actual game!
Let me introduce Melbourne to you, the way it was introduced to me (sort of).

We took the train in to the city to drink mulled wine and have donuts. A splendid way to spend an evening, if you ask me.

Julia did her best to get a cool shot of me on the steps of the State Library of Victoria. I couldn't stay serious for long enough.

Next up: A collection of pictures of Melbourne's street art!
